5/26/16

Today, we began another Disney adventure.  Neil's parents, Roz and Norm are coming to Disney with us, to visit Courtney.  They haven't been in 10 number of years, and are really looking forward to being with us, and we're excited to have them along.  Thursday morning, Neil, Megan, Roz, and Norm flew to Orlando.  Bonnie comes tomorrow because she has Pre K Graduation and her last day of school with her students.  Courtney met us at Pop Century, where we checked in and our room was ready.  After getting our carry ons put into the room, we headed straight for Magic Kingdom.  We rode Little Mermaid Ride and the People Mover, and then saw Carousel of Progress.  

We said hi to the talking Mickey in Town Square, and then we went to have dinner at Tony's Town Square, where we enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmesan.  We watched the Main Street Electrical Parade, Celebrate the Magic, and Wishes fireworks.  Then we headed back to the resort for the night.  We are going to Animal Kingdom tomorrow morning.

5/27/16

We headed to Animal Kingdom, where our first ride was the Kilimanjaro Safari where we saw elephants, lions, giraffes, and more animals.  Next, we headed to go see the Festival of the Lion King.  We then took the bus back to the resort to rest for awhile, and get ready for the evening.  We headed to Hollywood Studios.  Bonnie's plane had arrived, and after taking Magical Express, got off her first stop, and joined us at the park.  We all ate dinner together at ABC Commissary, enjoying hamburgers and steaks.  We went to say hi to Olaf and give him warm hugs.  Then, we watched the new Star Wars Fireworks, and afterwards, headed back to the resort for the night.

5/28/16

This morning, we headed to Magic Kingdom.  Our first stop was the Confectionery, and then headed out to say hi to Daisy.    We went and rode Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise.  Roz and Norm really liked the cute jokes the skipper said on the Jungle Cruise.   Next, we headed to the Hall of Presidents, and then to see our pal, Rafiki, taking some really cute pictures.    We ate lunch at Pecos Bill, enjoying fajitas and nachos.  After lunch, we went to go ride Buzz Lightyear, zapping the "z's", and then went to go see Monsters Inc Laugh Floor.  We went back to the resort, to get ready for the night, and headed to Epcot.  Courtney and Megan enjoyed some frozen lemonade treats, and we all walked around, admiring the beautiful flowers and toperaries since it is Flower and Garden Exhibit there.  We took the Friendship boat across and headed to Via Napoli for dinner.  We all enjoyed pizza at our favorite pizzeria.  Two of Courtney's friends, Michael and Alyssa joined us to watch Illuminations together.  Courtney and Megan headed on to Magic Kingdom with Michael and Alyssa, while Bonnie, Neil, Roz and Norm headed back to Pop Century for the night.  Tomorrow, we are going to Hollywood Studios.

5/29/16

This morning we went to Hollywood Studios, where we rode Toy Story Mania.  We watched Beauty and the Beast show.  Then, we ate lunch at Backlot Express, enjoying hamburgers and chicken tenders.  Then we headed to Toy Story Mania, where we all put on our 3D glasses, ready for fun.  We said hi to Mickey and Minnie, in their new Red Carpet Dream area.  We went back to the resort to rest, and get ready for the night.  We took the bus to Magic Kingdom, and took to boat across to Fort Wilderness, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner buffet at Trails End.  We enjoyed cold boiled shrimp, salad, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and a selection of homemade desserts.  Tomorrow morning, we are heading to Epcot.

5/30/16

Today, we headed to Epcot, where we first said hello to Joy and Sadness, from the Disney movie, Inside Out.  Courtney and Megan went on Sum of all Thrills, the simulated roller coaster that they build their own track.  Bonnie, Neil, Roz, and Norm went to go check out Colortopia, painting with magical paintbrushes.  We went to go ride Soarin', which is back for a short time, before the new Soarin movie comes out later this summer.  Walking around the Flower and Garden exhibits, we enjoyed seeing the Butterfly Pavilion and more toperaries and beautiful flowers everywhere.  We rode The Seas with Nemo and friends, then Courtney and Megan enjoyed another frozen lemonade treat.  We took the Friendship Boat across, and headed to Japan, where we ate lunch at Katsura Grill.  After lunch, we stopped by to see our pal Pluto, taking some really cute pictures with the playful pup.  Roz and Norm shopped for some souvenirs at MouseGears.  We stopped to take a look at Epcot's Guest Relations, where Courtney will be a hostess in just a couple of weeks for her next Disney role.  Neil, Norm, and Roz rode Spaceship Earth on their way out of Epcot.  Neil, Norm and Roz rode Spaceship Earth on their way out.

 

Before heading out to Magic Kingdom for the night, we took some pictures around Pop Century resort.  Once at Magic Kingdom, we took some pictures on Main Street, in front of Cinderella's Castle.  We ate dinner tonight at Plaza Restaurant, and everyone enjoyed salads and cheese steak sandwiches.  We headed back to Pop Century, before the rain came.  Tomorrow, we all leave for Houston, and Courtney has her last week of work in her current role, before moving on to Guest Relations at Epcot.  We had a wonderful vacation having Roz and Norm joining us!
