12/26/15

Today we all headed to Orlando for a vacation before Courtney checks in for her Professional internship. Bonnie and Megan flew down, while Neil and Courtney drove! Bonnie and Megan checked into Pop Century and then headed to the Magic Kingdom! They rode Buzz Lightyear, ate at lunch at Columbia Harbor House, and rode Haunted Mansion. Afterwards, they went back to the resort to relax before heading to Epcot for the evening. They took the friendship boat to the back of World Showcase and had a delicious dinner at Teppan Edo. That night, Courtney and Neil got in to Pop Century and then unloaded things at Courtney’s new apartment. It was a long day but we were happy to be back in Disney! Tomorrow we are going to Magic Kingdom!

12/27/15

This morning, we went to Magic Kingdom! We got to meet an elf, Zoom, and a reindeer, Lazz, in the Plaza Gardens. We had lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus, where we enjoyed the new chicken parmesan sandwiches. After lunch, we watched Dream Along with Mickey, saw the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor show, and rode Under the Sea. We made our way back to Main Street where we got ice cream from the Plaza and watched Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Time parade. We saw the holiday stage show, Celebrate the Season, and rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Afterwards, we took the monorail to the Polynesian and had dinner at Captain Cook’s. We went back to the Magic Kingdom to see A Frozen Holiday Wish and the beautiful castle dream lights. We ended our night by watching Celebrate the Magic and the Holiday Wishes fireworks show.

12/28/15

Today, we ran some errands, and started by going to the Disney Character Warehouse outlet store. Then, we went to the Florida Mall to visit the brand new Carlo’s Bakery location. Megan is a HUGE fan of Cake Boss and Buddy Valastro, so we loved getting to finally try some of the delicious sweets from Carlo’s! We went to Best Buy and Comcast, and then went to Courtney’s apartment to unpack some things. We went back to our resort to chill before heading to Fort Wilderness. We had dinner at one of our favorite places, Trail’s End, with our friends Nichole and Patrick! We loved getting to see them! Afterwards, we went to Magic Kingdom and watched the fireworks. Bonnie and Neil walked around a little then headed back to the resort, while Courtney and Megan stayed. They watched the parade, rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Dumbo, Goofy’s Barnstormer twice, Mad Tea Party, and Astro Orbiter! Tomorrow, we are going to Hollywood Studios and Epcot!

12/29/15

This morning, we went to Courtney’s apartment as her bedroom furniture was being delivered today! Afterwards, we went to Hollywood Studios and enjoyed a snack of Mickey pretzels! We went to check out the brand new Star Wars Launch Bay and got to meet Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Jawa. We also met Minnie Mouse and Sofia the First in the courtyard. After that, we took the Friendship boat from Hollywood Studios to Epcot. We had a great dinner at Via Napoli with our friends Mitch and Tina. We took the boat back to Hollywood Studios and had fun dancing at the Holidays Happen Here Dance Party with Pluto! We also enjoyed seeing the final year of The Osbourne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. We will definitely miss this incredible display of lights! Tomorrow, we are going to Epcot!

12/30/15

This morning we went to Epcot and rode Soarin’ over California for the last time! This summer, it is reopening with a new movie featuring scenes from around the world, and we can’t wait to see the new version of one of our favorite attractions. We took the Friendship Boat to the World Showcase and ate lunch at Katsura Grill in Japan. After lunch, we went to Courtney’s apartment to assemble some furniture and finish unpacking. Then we went back to Pop Century to get ready for dinner at Yachtsman’s Steakhouse over at the Yacht Club. We had a delicious dinner with our favorites of onion rolls, caesar salads, and filet mignons! Then, we went to Magic Kingdom to see the awesome New Year’s Eve 360* fireworks.

12/31/15

Today we headed to Animal Kingdom where Neil, Courtney, and Megan rode Expedition Everest.   Afterwards, we went to go see our favorite show, Festival of the Lion King.  We never get tired of seeing it!   We ate lunch at Anandapur Local Food Café (Yak N Yeti counter service).  We went back to Pop Century to rest a bit, and then headed to Magic Kingdom for the night.  After walking around, we headed to Liberty Tree Tavern, where we had reservations for dinner.  After dinner, we watched Disney’s Electrical Light Parade.  With it being New Year's Eve, we headed to Polynesian Resort to watch the 360* fireworks from the beach.  Quite a sight, to see all the amazing fireworks, all around us!   The Suchart family wishes everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1/1/16

This morning, we headed to Magic Kingdom.  Courtney and Megan bought new purple magic bands, that have just come available for purchase in the Disney stores.  We saw some lady citizens on Main Street (Constance – purple dress, Sheila Shufflehop, and Hildegard) Afterwards, we watched Disney’s Festival of Fantasy parade.  We never get tired of watching this parade, which is a favorite of ours!  we ate lunch at Pinocchio Village Haus, enjoying their new chicken parmesan sandwiches, that are available at lunch only.  We went to go ride on Winnie the Pooh and The Haunted Mansion. After these two rides, we stopped by Skipper Canteen restaurant to visit with Chef Matt.  We were happy to visit with him for a little while and catch up.  Then, we headed to Pop Century to get ready for dinner.   We headed to Epcot, and walked through the countries.  We ate dinner at Nine Dragons Restaurant.  That evening, we watched Illuminations:  Reflections of Earth and headed back to the resort for the night.

 

1/2/16

This morning, we headed to Hollywood Studios where we ate breakfast at The Trolley Car Café, which is the new Starbucks Cafe.  We headed to the new Club Disney Dance Party, taking a few pictures of some cute characters since this is a new seasonal attraction.  We went to the Frozen Sing A Long and to the Lights, Motors, Action extreme stunt show, which was going to be closing soon.  We wanted to be sure to see it one last time.  We left Hollywood Studios, and headed to Courtney’s apartment, fo rsome deliveries and to put some furniture together in her new place.  We went back to Pop Century, to get ready for the night.  We headed to Epcot, and Cynthia, Courney's good friend and roommate joined us for the night.  We ate dinner at Via Napoli, where it was Chef Joe’s last night.  After dinner, we watched Illuminations.

 

1/3/16

This morning, Bonnie left early, to go back to Houston, because she has to go to work tomorrow.  Neil, Courtney & Megan went to Magic Kingdom.  They visited with some Citizens of Main Street.  One new citizen, Andy, is a substitute for Mayor Weaver, who is out of town for a short time.  We headed to ride Space Mountain and then went to go eat lunch at Pecos Bill.  We walked along Main Street where we saw the Dapper Dans Barbershop Quartet and Mary Poppins.  We rode the train to Frontierland, where we went on Big Thunder Mountain.  Afterwards, we stopped to say hi to Rafiki.  We ate dinner tonight at Ohana at Polynesian Resort and then headed back to Magic Kingdom to watch Wishes Fireworks.

 

1/4/16

We started off the morning at Hollywood Studios, where we rode Rock N Roller Coaster.  Afterwards, we ate breakfast at Starring Rolls Café.  We went to go meet Mickey, and then saw some Hollywood citizens – Officer Pat Fiskem, Mayor of Hollywood, and Oscar.  Then, we headed to go ride Tower of Terror.  We took the bus to Epcot.  We took pictures of Pixar Shorts.  Then, we took a bus to French Quarter – took a few pictures, and afterwards, took a bus to Disney Springs.  We ate lunch at Cookes of Dublin, enjoying their famous fish and chips (french fries).  After lunch, we walked around, and took pictures of a few new places around Disney Springs.  We went to go have an ice cream treat at Ghiradelli’s, and then headed back to Pop Century to chill before the night.  We went to Magic Kingdom, walked along Main Street, and then headed to eat dinner at Cosmic Rays.  Afterwards, we went to go see Mickey’s Philharmagic and watched the Main Street Electrical Parade.  Megan headed to the Confectionery, where she received some cookies.   Afterwards, we all watched Celebrate the Magic and Wishes fireworks.  Then, headed back to Pop Century for the night. 

1/5/16

This morning, we packed up the room and checked out of Pop Century.  Then, we headed to Magic Kingdom, where we saw the Trolley Show.  We stopped to say hi to some Main Street Citizens – Mayor Weaver, Hildegard Olivia Harding, Chief Smokey, and Victoria Trumpetto. We ate lunch at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant, and then headed to the Confectionery for some treats to take home.  We went back to Courtney’s apartment to help her with a few last things, and then went back to Pop Century.  Neil and Megan took the Magical Express bus back to the airport, since they leave today.  Courtney checks in for her Disney Professional Internship tomorrow!!
